ÇİÇEK GÜNEY

Cicek was my number one competitor for long years. Most of the time she was ahead of me in snowboarding. I always valued sportive success and sportsmanship and our relationship always was around these values.  Now Cicek has been chosen by the Turkish Ski Federation to go to the 2014 Winter Olympics in snowboarding.  She will be the first Turkish snowboarder to go the olympics and I am sure she will be successful.

I am happy that after a year, she accepted my offer of being my codriver. Even though it is her first year of rallying, her high concentrating capability, her wisdom and her will leads me to hope that we will go a long way together.

Practice has already been great...

After being graduated from French Pierre Loti High School, she went to Sorbonne University in Paris for Ekonomic and Business Education. She transferred to the Economics program of London School of Economics in Istanbul Bilgi University after a year.

After she started snowboarding at age 12, she won many races and titles in Turkey. She became Turkish Champion in 5 Turkish Championship races whe participated in. She is already leader so far in the Championship this year.

Plus she was the champion in two Universiade races and she represented Turkey in international races getting the first FIS points in Turkey.

In our 3 years history with Cicek, we earned 3 ladies championships, 1 group win, 1 class win and one 2nd place in the international event FSTI. This year in 2010 having the target of being the first female team in IRC and the first Turkish crew in IRC we went a long way with Cicek. I am so lucky to have you Cico.....
